Recorded in 1967 but not released until 1978, Lee Morgan’s The Procrastinator stands in hindsight as one of the monumental achievements of the trumpeter’s prolific late-60s output. Featuring a phenomenal sextet with Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Billy Higgins, the date produced sublime performances of six pieces by Morgan and Shorter.
This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
