Blue Giant (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack): Vinyl LP

With over 56 million streams, the soundtrack to new animated movie BLUE GIANT is already proving a hit – even though the film is not yet out in cinemas globally. The soundtrack features new original music from Grammy-winning Japanese pianist, composer & “jazz rulebreaker” Hiromi, and was one of the biggest new jazz albums of 2023 worldwide. More than 30 top-class musicians, including a string section (conducted by Miho Hazama) and jazz players who gathered at Hiromi’s request, participated in the production of the film’s musical accompaniment and other band performances. The soundtrack contains 29 tracks, including an original song called ‘BLUE GIANT’ which appears as the end credits theme. It is inspired by an image which came to Hiromi during the recording of ‘JASS’ and she performs it on the soundtrack with the other two members of the trio, Tomoaki and Shun. It is a touching song that provides a fitting conclusion to the film. Due to popular demand, the full soundtrack will now be released in a special blue double-vinyl edition on 15 March 2024.
